There’s a lot of nonsense spoken about web accessibility. Richard Dinnick, MD of Right Dynamic, will be giving a presentation on the subject at the SHAPE Accessible Marketing and Publicity seminar to put that right.
‘I aim to lay some nasty rumours to bed and deal with the real reasons behind making a site accessible and what that means in practical terms,’ said Richard.
Richard helped draft the ‘government guidelines for webmasters’ and subsequently set up and chaired the UK Government’s committee on web design best practice. He assembled a team of experts from academia, business and government – both local and national – and wrote the resultant document: “
Quality Framework for UK government web site design”.‘Open the Door delivers practical and effective training for individuals and organisations right across the creative and culture sectors,’ said Geraldine McNamara, Training Manager of SHAPE’s Open the Door campaign. ‘We really appreciate Richard’s input.’
The first seminar will take place on Tuesday November 4th, with a second due to take place in February 2009. Further details can be obtained from
SHAPE’s web site.
